This video of Québécois band Angine de Poitrine at Trans Musicales 2025 went viral last month and I am totally on board for this. They’ve managed to nail a visual vibe that 1:1 matches their sound (it’s very Hylics), and bringing that to the kind of sterile KEXP recording environment they’re in makes this video feel like real aliens are performing their music for us here on earth. Also Khn’s (the guitarist’s) literal foot-work is amazing. These guys remind me a lot of King Gizzard x Magma — their music has a Zeuhl-like quality to it. Their new album comes out on April 3rd, so that’s exciting.
